Heartlander of Snark Week: You Don’t Say

To wrap up Snark Week, the Heartlander award goes to the King of Snark himself, George Carlin.  A member of the Silent Generation, he gave a voice to his people.  He railed against the excess and arrogance of American culture, false manners in the face of national injustices.  Against the hubris of a Nation that thought it had an answer to everything, but was really just sweeping it all under a rug.

“Trying to be happy by accumulating possessions is like trying to satisfy hunger by taping sandwiches all over your body.”

Rest in Peace, Man.
