This week’s award goes to the first person on a major party presidential ticket ever from my homestate. Paul Ryan is the first person in 164 years of Wisconsin statehood to be close to the Presidency.
I don’t think people from the high profile states (Massachusetts) can possibly understand how ignored and marginalized people from “the rest of America” that “doesn’t count” actually feel. The tacit assumption that you (Californians) are fundamentally higher lifeforms because of your state of residency is, well, oftentimes actually stated.
I don’t agree with everything Paul Ryan (and Mitt Romney) advocate, and some stuff I flat out disagree with. But I do believe Paul Ryan when he says he bleeds cheese. I suppose that sounds quirky and irrelevant to most people. Oh well.
Whatever may come in November, for the next few months, America will experience the Power of Cheese. (That’s good cheese, from Wisconsin. Not that rubber tennis shoe stuff from California.)
