The Tenth Day of Advent: Freedom of the Press

The media, formal or informal, may print what they know and distribute it widely, as long as it is basically true and doesn’t threaten anyone.

This is the one most people put at the top.  I guess I don’t because while it is really cool and I believe in information sharing and the printed word, Freedom of the Press always has seemed a bit niche to me.  Most of us will never work in journalism, and many people don’t pay attention to the Press.  They get a lot of their information by word of mouth.
