Heartlander of the Week: Give It a Rest

To the United States Congress, for taking a break from work.

Sort of.  The next five weeks are actually District Work Period, so our legislative folks are taking a break from DC–and each other, but not really from work.  Of course, when you work in Washington, just getting to leave Washington is practically vacation.

Whatever the politics, one of the reasons I always liked John Boehner is he has an actual sense that being a Member of Congress has something to do with something other than DC.  Like constituents.  And the District.

So, to an America that is increasingly obsessed with work and vacation impaired, time to Follow the Leader.

Summertime, when the living is easy . . . .
