Heartlander of the Week: Gone Too Soon

This week’s Heartlanders are Christopher Lane and Chris Broussard, two young men gone before their time.

How cruel Life can be, two young people just reaching adulthood and all of the potential and excitement that goes with that.  Responsible, educated, loved.  Ordinary, unknown, lost in the crowd of 7 billion and counting humans.  Crueler still that at least one died, not by happenstance or carelessness, but at the hands of other human beings who trivialized Life and its fundamental beauty in the most profound and horrifying way possible.

It seems sometimes that it’s been years since the news has been good.  We continue to slog along in this so called “Recession Recovery” that isn’t a Depression.  But sure seems like it a lot of the time like the stories about the 1930s.  But, of course, if the Government tells us it ain’t so, then it ain’t so, Joe.

To Peace in all Things.
