America’s Christmas Carol: The Ghosts of Christmas Yet to Come

The Story of the Third Part, inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Christmas Day, 2014.  Six years since the Lehmann Brothers Crash.  The Dire Prediction:  Health Care Reform winds up destabilizing the entire U.S. Economy, leading to a Second Worldwide financial system collapse, mass starvation, chaos . . . .  You were expecting the doom and gloom per Dickens.  Ha.

Really?  Not much changes.  Babies are born.  Baby humans, baby pandas.  People post pictures on FaceBook and Twitter and Tumblr and Instagram.  The sun is still there.  So is the Budget Battle and the continued health care drama.  Government adjustments to health care don’t keep up with the problems, but the problems do work themselves out, and are meanwhile replaced by more problems.  Jobs come, jobs go.  There’s a mid-term election.  The President pardons another turkey (with all the innuendo you want to read into that one).  The Obamas stick with the bronze plan.  And yes, That Banner Still Waves.
