This week’s Heartlander is me. Because it has been three years since my first post. At 355 posts (356 with this one) I have averaged a post once every third day, with some variation, and I have posted at least once a week.
I’ve highlighted good and bad. I’ve enjoyed writing posts large and small. I’ve enjoyed the intellectual exploration of one-off posts and series of related posts. I’ve had a lot of fun. Little ol’ me, the girl who has been told on many occasions I can’t write (whatever that means—put pen or pencil to paper, pound the keyboard, words come out), authoring 355 blog entries. Sentences and paragraphs. Nouns and verbs and modifiers. Creative grammar. And punctuation. Themes, purpose, conclusion. 🙂
Maybe it’s typing, not writing. OK. So maybe I’m not Faulkner, but I read the first 95 pages of the Sound and the Fury once and it totally made no sense at all so . . . . yeah, I think I’m going for a different construct. (FWIW, I did try to keep going and the part after the nonsense part didn’t make any more sense to me than the nonsense part. So, OK. I didn’t get it.)
To life in the Middle, three years and counting.
